DAVID D. NIELSON practices bankruptcy law in the Fort Lauderdale office.  

He is admitted in both Florida and Massachusetts, and is a member of the Southern Florida US District and Bankruptcy Courts in both states, as well as the US Patent and Trademark Office. He received an undergraduate degree from the University of Utah in Computer Science with minor in numerical analysis/thermodynamics and a certificate in business adminstration and financing at Harvard.  He received his Juris Doctor from Northeastern University School of Law in Boston during which he interned in the chambers of Judge Bruce Selya, U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. Prior to joining Lugten Morin & Nielson, he was associated with the busniess section of the Boston law firm of Nutter McClennen & Fish.  He has presented at the American Bankruptcy Institute, Brown University Ventue Capital Group, the Boston Bar Continuing Education, and helped educate pro se debtors under the Pro Se Clerk's Office debtor classes. He was a contributing author to Westlaw's In the Mind series, and authored Obtaining a Dischage  in a Bankruptcy Case: What You Need to Know, for Westlaw's AspatorePress. 

Attorney Nielson provides legal services in the areas of Chapter 7 and 13 bankruptcy including pre-bankruptcy counseling and planning, analysis of current financial options, and pro-forma projections for future financial situations including asset preservation. He represents each client throughout every step of the bankruptcy process, and personally attends all court and trustee hearings and meetings. He is redily avaiable throughout the process to work with you, ensuing that you understand each step and process along the way, leading toward a sucessful experience.
